About Windermere
Windermere sits on the narrow stretch of land between Lake Butler and Lake Down. The downtown grid runs around Town Hall and Main Street, with Town Square Park nearby, and many of its streets are unpaved.
Around it are Butler Bay, Lake Butler Estates, Windermere Oaks and Bayshore Estates. This is the west edge of the area we cover, about 25 minutes from College Park without traffic, out Colonial Drive and the SR 408 toll road.

What grass suits a lakeside lot with shade?
It depends on sun, not the lake. Floratam St. Augustine needs about six hours of sun a day. Zoysia and some other St. Augustine types handle more shade, and bahia is only fair in shade. We check the light first.
